Diesel Price Switches Gears

For the first time in three weeks, the average price for a gallon of diesel nationally dropped-going down two cents to $2.80 for the week ending June 1, according to the Energy Information Administration.

The average price fell in all regions, with the biggest drop coming in the Gulf Coast region (three cents to $2.75 per gallon).

The Lower Atlantic and Gulf Coast regions are the cheapest areas at $2.75 per gallon. California remained the most expensive at $3.23.
