Diesel Price Jumps 7.5 Cents

The average price of a gallon of diesel nationally increased 7.5 cents to $2.626 for the week ending March 4, according to the Energy Information Administration.

Prices went up in all regions except California, where it declined 1.4 cents to $2.897 - still keeping it the most expensive region.

The Gulf Coast and the Rocky Mountain regions had the largest increase -- 9 cents to $2.587 and $2.658, respectively. The Lower Atlantic was the cheapest region at $2.568 a gallon, despite an 8.5-cent jump.
