Astoria opens 140,000-square-foot facility

Nov 15, 2006 9:44 AM

Astoria Industries has added a 140,000-square-foot building in Osceola, Iowa, to its present 54,000-square-foot facility in Chariton, Iowa. The additional capacity will allow Astoria to reduce delivery times to meet customer requirements.

The Osceola facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment such as flex molds offering consistent product tolerances and finishes. The facility’s new cutting edge processes and materials will offer the strongest, lightest service bodies in the market.

The Osceola facility will re-cycle fiberglass, replacing outdated wood and foam core materials; patent pending. This program eliminates the need for Astoria customers to land fill old, damaged bodies.
