Advance Engineered Products Launches Second-Generation Wet/Dry Combo Units

Apr 21, 2011 1:53 PM

The Advance Engineered Products Group announced that it has completed the manufacture of two second-generation wet/dry combination units for delivery to a major North American carrier.

The order was given in 2010 to replace the first-generation units that were placed in service in 1988 and 1990 and recently retired after many years of service.

The company said they eliminate empty miles and haul up to 94% incremental payload over conventional one-way petroleum and pneumatic B-trains.

They feature: 53,000-liter liquid capacity over four compartments; 1,400 cubic feet of dry bulk capacity over two compartments, feeding three hoppers; and TC406 coded liquid compartments.
