Wastequip, Inc., a Beachwood, Ohio-based waste equipment manufacturer with 25 plants in North America, has acquired certain assets of McClain Industries, Inc. Wastequip expects to service the existing McClain customers from Wastequip’s current facilities.

Ken McClain, the founder, chairman and CEO of McClain Industries, announced that the Company is closing its three remaining waste equipment facilities.

McClain, who founded McClain Industries in 1968, said, "I have been in the waste industry for almost 40 years and it is time to slow down. I feel that Wastequip, with its coast-to-coast plants and large inventory and engineering resources, is positioned very well to serve our current customers.”

Bob Rasmussen, the President and CEO of Wastequip, said, “I have known Ken a long time. He is an icon in the waste industry and will be missed. Wastequip is committed to serving McClain customers with high quality Wastequip brand roll-off containers, small containers, hoists and compactors.”
