VSE Corporation said that its Systems Engineering Division was awarded a $41,030,714 firm fixed-price contract under the Tanker Ballistic Protection System (TBPS) Program for the application of a Fuel Tank Self- Sealing System and necessary Add-on Armor Panel Kits for the M978 and M1062 Fuel Dispensing Tankers.

The contract definitizes the initial $12.8 million letter contract announced in April 2005. Work on the new contract will be performed primarily in Kuwait and Iraq and is expected to be completed in January 2007. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Michigan.

VSE's Systems Engineering Division is under the direction of Tom Dacus, Senior Vice President and Director of VSE's Federal Group.

"With the award of this contract, VSE is increasing its support of this important Army program by applying the Self-Sealing System on two more models of fuel dispensing tankers. The application of this product on fuel tankers is a high priority at VSE, and we are committed to meeting the Army's requirements."
