Transcraft redesigns D-Eagle drop deck trailer

Mar 24, 2006 11:00 AM

Transcraft, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wabash National Corporation, announced that its Transcraft D-Eagle combo drop deck model has been redesigned to increase trailer strength and enhance overall performance. In addition, the company announced that it has added a forklift kit as an available option on its flatbed trailer models.

The D-Eagle drop deck trailer's wheel pan has been redesigned to include a reinforced floor section and a continuous side rail for enhanced structural performance. The design eliminates the need for bolted connections in the lower deck.

"The D-Eagle's new side rail drop section strengthens the lower deck's front support while providing the flexibility needed to move freely under the heaviest loads," said David de Poincy, Transcraft President and Chief Operating Officer.

The availability of a forklift kit option for the Company's flatbed trailer models eliminates the need for aftermarket installations that void trailer warranties. Forklift kit designs are available for Princeton, Moffett and Donkey brand forklifts.
