Boasting an industry-best tare weight, Extreme Trailers LLC recently introduced its 7,200-pound, all-aluminum, patent-pending X-Lite flatbed trailer. The X-Lite represents a 1,600-pound differential when compared with others of its kind, according to the company, which manufacturers of commercial flatbed, drop deck, and dump semitrailers.

The product also features lengths of up to 93 ft., widths of 96 in. and 102 in., and a concentrated load rating from 55,000 lbs. to 75,000 lbs. in a four foot area. The trailer's low deck height and patent-pending crush-resistant (CRT) decking technology is 35-50% stronger than typical flatbeds, the company notes.

“Our customers are very excited about the X-Lite product particularly with the flexibility of configurations available to them," said Les Smith, president and CEO Extreme Trailers. "The X-Lite is also available in a 53-foot, rear axle slide that features a low profile deck height of fifty-five inches at an impressive eighty-five hundred pounds."

What this means for customers, commented Smith, is that they can carry heavier payloads without incurring extra fuel usage or extra wear-and-tear on tires thus maximizing their own profits .
