Western Star adds Stratosphere sleeper

Western Star Trucks has debuted the 68" Stratosphere Star Light Sleeper, the latest addition to its new line of walk-through sleepers.
Provided beginning in second-quarter 2004, the 68" Stratosphere sleeper will be an option for all Western Star 4900 models, including the EX (132" BBC set forward front axle), 4900 FA (set-forward front axle in both 109" and 123" BBCs), and 4900 SA (set-back front axle in both 109" and 123" BBCs).
Providing more than two feet of additional headroom in the area between the driver and passenger seat, the Stratosphere allows the driver or passenger to stand up and walk through to the sleeper compartment — without crouching or bending over. With a flat floor between the cab and the sleeper, the driver or passenger also does not have to worry about steps or ledges. In addition, the vehicle can be converted into a day cab.
