XL Specialized Trailers announced that Scott Wall has become vice-chairman of the board of directors, and Steve Fairbanks will serve as president and chief executive officer. Since 2004, Fairbanks was president and president/CEO for truck equipment manufacturer Iowa Mold Tooling (IMT).
John Walsh was named vice-president of marketing for Mack Trucks Inc, effective December 1. Since February 2007, he has served as director-media and public relations. Walsh will continue to be based in Greensboro NC at Mack world headquarters. He succeeds Michael Reardon, who in July was named Mack vice-president-sales.
James S Peary has returned from a post at Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) in Japan to serve as director, business operations for Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America Inc (MFTA). Peary, who joined MFTA in 1997, was transferred to MFTBC in Japan in 2007, where he served concurrently as manager, business development for international aftersales and manager, parts marketing and sales for Europe/NAFTA/Oceania.
Jim Edwards has joined East Manufacturing as western region manager, replacing Ron Downs, who is retiring. Edwards will maintain an office in the Kansas City MO area. For the past four years, he has been a Midwest sales representative for another trailer manufacturer.
