Manual aids in extruded aluminum design

Hydro Aluminum North America has launched an Extrusion Design Manual, a practical engineering and application guide to aluminum extrusions. This publication gives designers, engineers, and product developers the technical guidelines they need to develop new uses for extruded aluminum.
The user-friendly 60-page manual includes information about the properties of aluminum, extrusion manufacture, surface treatments, packaging, and recycling. A technical section presents details and in-depth information on areas such as corrosion resistance, types of extrusions, joining, fabrication techniques, and tolerances. The manual also gives a broad overview of the activities and products offered by Hydro Aluminum North America.
