Imperial Group to assemble Autocar chassis

Jul 1, 2003 12:00 PM

Portland TN-based Imperial Group, a business unit of Transportation Technologies Industries Inc (TTI), has completed an agreement to assemble chassis frame modules for Autocar LLC, based in Hagerstown IN. The heavy-duty chassis frame modules are specified for use in Autocar's low-cab-over-engine (LCOE) Xpeditor Series trucks designed and built primarily for refuse hauling.

The chassis frame module will be built and assembled — from start to finish — in six dedicated work stations within the plant. Upon completion, the assembled chassis frame module will be shipped to Autocar's newly refurbished Hagerstown facility for final assembly.
