ConMet unit ISO-certified

Consolidated Metco Inc has announced that ConMet de Mexico, a Monterrey, Mexico-based manufacturing plant, has received its ISO 9001:2000 certification. ConMet de Mexico is a wholly owned subsidiary of Consolidated Metco, headquartered in Portland OR, and manufactures lightweight aluminum permanent-mold components for Class 8 trucks.

Founded in 2000, ConMet de Mexico has about 150 employees. The facility has 67,000 square feet of manufacturing space, and produces permanent mold aluminum castings. The plant also has capabilities for sand core production, heat treating, CNC machining, subassembly operations, and external finishing facilities.

Performing the third-party certification for ConMet de Mexico was TUV Rheinland of North America Inc.
