Brand a factor in replacing parts, study finds

Jul 1, 2003 12:00 PM

In a recent study conducted by CK Marketing and Communications, more than 50% of the fleets surveyed indicated that replacing components with the identical original equipment brand was essential or very important. However, other mitigating factors — like reliability, durability, price, availability and quality of the replacement part purchased — were cited by the respondents as having an important influence on the buying decision.

CK Marketing and Communications is a heavy-duty industry research and press relations firm in Columbus OH. Phone Chris Kemmer at 614-261-6400 for more information about the maintenance and replacement part study.
