APSCO lauded for safety

Air Power Systems Company (APSCO Inc), a manufacturer of pneumatic, cylinder, valves, and control systems, was presented with the Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) commendation recently by Labor Commissioner Mark Costello at APSCO Inc for the organization's efforts to ensure safety in the workplace.
“The Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program was designed by federal OSHA to encourage and recognize excellence in occupational safety and health,” said Costello. “APSCO Inc has fulfilled the challenging SHARP requirements and deserves this honor.”
Owner Larry Mocha said, “I took safety to heart and reached out to the Oklahoma Department of Labor to help me have a safe environment for my workers. While I have not always agreed with the findings of the consultant, I know that my striving to have a ‘safe shop’ and to qualify for the Sharp certification has rewarded me even when I didn't always qualify.”
