American Capital Strategies Acquires Iowa Mold Tooling

Garner IA-based Iowa Mold Tooling Co Inc (IMT) has been purchased by American Capital Strategies Ltd from the Intermet Corp for $32.2 million. Other equity capital was provided by Mobile Tool International, an American Capital portfolio company, and members of the IMT senior management team. GMAC Business Credit provides a senior credit facility for the acquisition.
American Capital is an equity partner in management and employee buyouts. It invests in debt and equity of companies led by private equity firms, provides capital directly to private and small public companies, and is a publicly traded buyout and mezzanine fund. American Capital also finances growth, acquisitions, and recapitalizations.
