Akron Brass acquires Weldon Technologies

Akron Brass Co has acquired Weldon Technologies Inc, based in Columbus OH.
Founded in 1967, Weldon is an ISO 9001: 2000-registered company that develops, manufactures, and sells lighting devices and custom electrical control systems for specialty vehicle markets. This includes ambulance, firetruck, school bus, recreational vehicle, and marine markets.
Over the past 35 years, Weldon has designed and introduced products including the V-MUX multiplex system that uses power distribution units or nodes to reduce and replace traditional wiring harness bundles and electrical hardware. Other products include warning lights, vehicle interior dome lights, marker lamps, and scene lighting.
Headquartered in Wooster OH and now with operations in Washington IL and Columbus, Akron Brass has more than 400 associates and 500 distributors worldwide.
