Omaha Standard-Palfinger has named Kevin Swierczek project engineer-liftgates, responsible for MBB Palfinger and Eagle Lift liftgates. He has a background in manufacturing and mechanical engineering as well as experience in six sigma and lean manufacturing practices.
Johnny Jones has joined Hercules Mfg in Henderson KY as production control manager. He was previously operations manager of American Materials Inc, a distribution facility servicing Eaton Axle/Dana.
Walker Group Holdings (WGH) has appointed Jim Miller to the newly created role of vice-president-sales and marketing for the firm's transportation tank companies. He has more than 25 years of industry knowledge. As part of this reorganization, Thomas Ballon was appointed vice-president of sales for the Brenner and Bulk product lines.
PalFleet Truck Equipment has named Trak Coveleskie general manager of its Nashville location. Coveleskie will replace Damon McDermott, who will be retiring at the end of 2010. With more than 15 years' experience in the truck equipment industry, Coveleskie advanced through corporate positions with SIA Truck Equipment, Knapheide Truck Equipment, Florida Body, and Stahl.
