The new 3M Soft Edge Foam Masking Tape PLUS reinvents a product 3M created 20 years ago. Soft Edge PLUS incorporates a hollow tubular foam construction that allows painters to easily mask wide and narrow jambs in one simple step. The shape compresses and conforms to the desired depth of the jamb and seals the opening. The adhesive is now offset, which allows application to the fixed or moving jamb surface. This assists in keeping the adhesive away from the paint edge, which minimizes the chance of creating a hard paint line, thus reducing the need for jamb rework.
