Leonard M “Len” Anderson, former chairman of the Truck Trailer Manufacturers Association (TTMA) engineering committee and member of its board of directors, died January 4, 2012. He was 79. Anderson spent his entire 42-year career in the design and development of highway semitrailers working for Highway Trailer Company, Edgerton WI; Clark Equipment Brown trailer division, Michigan City IN; and Miller Trailers, Bradenton FL. He held executive engineering positions with Clark Equipment and was vice-president and a director with Miller Trailers. Anderson was author of many Recommended Practices published for use by the trailer industry. He retired in December 1995 and formed Anderson Technical Services as a consultant to the trailer industry.
