Mack Trucks will boost production at PA plant

Jul 1, 2011 12:00 PM

Mack Trucks Inc announced that, primarily due to increased demand for Mack Pinnacle model highway trucks, the company will boost production at its Macungie PA truck plant in August 2011 and hire approximately 300 people to support the increase. Because of recent recalls of employees laid off during the truck industry's downturn, all of the additional personnel will be new hires.

The production increase will include the addition of a second shift. The company plans to have the new hires in place early in August. Current employment at the plant is 1,030. This includes 60 new hires who joined the plant earlier in May and 125 people who were either recalled or newly hired in October 2010.

Those interested in applying for the new positions should send their resumes to Mack.Recruitment@Careerlink.org.
