Idealease continues to thrive at age 25

In 1982, against long odds and a bleak economy, the former International Harvester Co transitioned its full-service lease franchise to 11 International Truck dealers who launched Idealease of North America Inc. (www.idealease.com). By the end of 1983, 125 International Truck dealers had opened Idealease affiliate locations in the United States and Canada.
Twenty-five years later, the number of Idealease affiliates has more than tripled; 420 International dealers now own or operate Idealease companies in North America. Expansion efforts continue in 2007 with Idealease affiliate locations opening in Colombia and Honduras.
International Truck and Engine Corp recently recognized the 25th anniversary of its longtime customer and truck-leasing partner.
Idealease's key advantage is the strength of its distribution channel. Every one of the 420 Idealease affiliates has the hands-on local control and authority to work directly with the customer. Within the network of Idealease-affiliated International dealerships, each affiliate has the flexibility to update his services as customer needs change. By offering a central contract that can be customized to address local needs, Idealease also supports many large national accounts.
