Trailer dealer lands 100-unit order

Fleetco Inc, a trailer dealer based in Nashville TN, has announced the sale of 100 Stoughton dry-freight vans to Empire Express Inc.
The 100-unit order involves 2011-model Stoughton Z-Plate vans. The 53-foot trailers include aluminum roofs installed on 16-inch centers; logistics posts on 24-inch centers; Z-Plate composite liner in the nose (rather than the standard half-inch plywood); double lock rods with half-inch Z-Plate doors; and five hinges per door instead of the standard four.
Other specifications include “TP” half-inch wall axles with Pro-Torq axle nuts, spring-loaded mudflap brackets, extended-service Q-Plus brakes, and Bridgestone R195F-LP 22.5 tires.
Many of the specifications are premium features, reflecting the fleet's philosophy of buying more upfront in order to get longer service life.
