ANSYS Inc. introduces the ANSYS Engineering Knowledge Manager (EKM), a new product focused on simulation process and data management (SPDM). SPDM presents a whole new set of challenges to CAE practitioners. Effective collaboration and communication — the ability to transfer essential information from one individual or group to another, getting the right data to the right person at the right time, and capturing engineering expertise — is essential to successful product and process development in a global environment.
EKM is aimed at meeting these challenges with extensive capabilities for archival and management of simulation data, historic tracking of files and data, advanced search and retrieval, report generation and simulation comparison, process and workflow automation, collaboration tools, and capture and deployment of best practices.
