AWS spec deals with nickel electrodes, rods

The American Welding Society (AWS) announces the availability of AWS A5.14/A5.14M:2005, Specification for Nickel and Nickel-Alloy Bare Welding Electrodes and Rods.
Chemical compositions of nearly 50 nickel and nickel-alloy welding electrodes and rods are specified, including 13 compositions not previously classified.
