Fabtech International shows new products for improving plant performance

Fabrication logo FABRICATORS found a wide range of new products that can make manufacturing plants more productive and their products higher quality. The venue: the annual Fabtech International and AWS Welding Show November 16-18 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

An estimated 25,000 visitors from more than 90 countries visited McCormick Place in Chicago to discover, evaluate and purchase manufacturing technologies and solutions. Filling nearly 400,000 square feet of booth space, the four-day show included 1,083 exhibitors and more than 500 new products.

The 2010 event is scheduled to be held in Atlanta November 2-4.

The Fabtech International & AWS Welding Show, including Metalform, is cosponsored by the American Welding Society (AWS), Fabricators & Manufacturers Association International (FMA), Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), and Precision Metalforming Association (PMA). Here is a sample of what was on display:

ESAB Cutting Systems A sabre that cuts precisely. ESAB Cutting Systems introduced the Sabre DX precision cutting machine for high production plasma and oxy-fuel cutting over large working areas. Designed for heavy-duty precision cutting, the Sabre DX features a high-stiffness welded beam assembly with a precision linear way guiding system, three-axis rack-and-pinion drives, digital AC drives and AC brushless motors. The gantry can be equipped with up to eight stations.
