Spartan Emergency Response Vehicles, a business unit of Spartan Motors, Inc.

(Nasdaq:SPAR) has added Vimar Equipment, Ltd, a new dealer in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Alberta and British Columbia, Canada.

Spartan ERV's strategy is to upgrade distribution in both the U.S. and South America. The company added four new dealers last year. H&W will no longer represent Spartan ERV or Spartan Chassis in the Northwest United States.

Located in Burnaby, British Columbia, Vimar is a 37-year-old equipment company with a proven history of providing quality products and service to the municipal, industrial and contractor markets in Western Canada, the Yukon and Northwest Territories. There the company operates out of a 23,000-square-foot facility where it provides service and fulfills parts distribution. In the U.S., Vimar will maintain operations in Portland, Ore. and Marysville, Wash.
