Going Dutch: the push for self-driving trucks

The Dutch government is challenging truck manufacturers to make platoons of self-driving trucks a reality on European roads.

The Netherlands holds the European Union presidency for six months from January until June this year, and its government is determined to use this period to stimulate greater collaboration on transport innovations between EU member states, reports the UK-based Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
