The NTEA announced that Kristina Johnson, Ph.D., Under Secretary for Energy, U.S. Department of Energy, will serve as Keynote Speaker at the Green Truck Summit on March 9 at The Work Truck Show in St. Louis.

Dr. Johnson will share valuable insight into legislative and regulatory activities that are currently gaining momentum. Dr. Johnson, internationally recognized for her academic and engineering achievements, earned the distinguished John Fritz Medal, which is considered the highest award in the engineering profession. Previous recipients of this Medal include Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison and Orville Wright.

In addition, U.S. Representative Gary Peters (MI) will be presented the Green Truck Leadership Award at the event. This award is in recognition of his efforts in support of the green truck movement, including the introduction of a bill entitled The Advanced Vehicle Technology Act, which authorizes hundreds of millions of dollars for multiple advanced driveline technologies and alternate fuel use in the work truck industry.
