New England Truck Sales & Services, Inc. has recently purchased two dealerships and is opening new facilities for both. The company will rebrand itself as the Black Rock Truck Group (BRTG), according to the CEO Matthew McConnell.

"The name Black Rock Truck Group better represents our growing regional presence,” McConnell said.

Black Rock acquired certain assets of Agar Truck Sales, Inc., and opened a new facility in Yonkers, N.Y. After undergoing extensive renovations, the new facility opened for business on April 20, 2015. The new building will give the freshly minted Westchester Freightliner significantly larger parts and service capabilities as well as extended hours of operation.

Black Rock also reached an agreement to purchase the assets of an independent repair facility located in the Norwich, CT, area. Construction on a new dealership will begin soon.  The 15,000-square-foot facility will be situated on a 12-acre parcel of land off of Interstate 395 and is scheduled to open in the spring of 2016.

Black Rock Truck Group is an Elite Support certified dealer in its Branford, CT, location and is moving rapidly to achieve that status at its other facilities.

"We are committed to the principles of Elite Support," said McConnell. "It's the best way to conduct business for our customers, our company and the DTNA dealer network."
