Class 5-7 Net Orders Best Since 2008: ACT

Class 5-7 net orders in December were the highest since the fourth quarter of 2008, according to the State of the Industry report recently released by ACT Research Co. (ACT).

The report covers Class 5 through 8 vehicles for the North American market.

“Strength was broad-based throughout trucks, buses, RVs, and step vans,” said Kenny Vieth, ACT’s president & senior analyst. “As for Class 8, orders above the level of build allowed the backlog to rise for a third consecutive month in December.”
