Seventy percent of pickup truck owners have purchased or are most likely to purchase a heavy-duty trailer from the dealer, according to a survey by Foresight Research done for the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). On the other hand, 72% contended that they would prefer to purchase a hard tonneau cover from the aftermarket.
This survey included more than 1,700 respondents who drove 2003 and 2004 model-year full-size trucks. Each respondent planned to spend (or already spent) at least $500 accessorizing his or her truck.
