The Transit Business Unit of Webb Wheel Products has opened a new 32,000-square-foot facility dedicated to the manufacture and distribution of drums for the transit industry. The facility has been equipped and staffed specifically to meet the requirements of products supplied to this industry.
Transit drums, as well as all bus and coach drums, are larger than other heavy-duty brake drums and are designed for the rigorous duty cycles and environmental influences impacting this equipment. Webb's new facility will enable the company to focus on the demands of this industry sector. The Transit Business Unit is led by Jason Gerding, president.
