Wabash National Corp. today announced plans to add approximately 150 new hourly associates to meet growing production needs.

This is the second time since February 2004 that Wabash National has added new associates, bringing the total number of new hires during 2004 to over 400 people.

William Greubel, Wabash National President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "The trailer industry continues to see growth in order activity. Despite volatile raw material prices, including steel, lumber and aluminum, trailer demand is being fueled by pent up replacement demand and continued improvement in economic activity.

"We have seen an increase in recent trailer demand while expectations for demand in 2005 remains markedly stronger. As a result, we plan to increase our production rates in the third quarter."
