VMAC has been awarded a position on “Great Places to Work,” Institute Canada's annual Best Workplaces in Canada list. The list shows that VMAC is the only Vancouver Island business — and one of only 12 British Columbia businesses — to make the list of the 75 best workplaces.
Best Workplaces in Canada showcases businesses that scored highest according to employee surveys and human resources practices. Jose Tolovi Neto, director of the Great Places to Work Institute Canada, says the competition for placement on the list uses trust as a key indicator.
Organizations on the 2009 list came from a variety of industries, ranging in size from 54 to 55,000 employees and located all across Canada. More than 29,800 Canadian employees were surveyed to determine finalists for the 75 best workplaces.
