Trudell Trailers has acquired Fargo Trailer Center of Fargo ND. The acquisition enables Trudell to expand its current Fargo sales and rental operation to full-service status.

Fargo Trailer specializes in parts and service for semitrailers. The company was founded in 1976, has complete shop facilities, and provides repair and custom fabrication on all makes of semitrailers. Its primary service area has included North Dakota and South Dakota, as well as portions of Minnesota.

Trudell will move its Fargo sales and rental operation to the 22,000-square-foot Fargo Trailer site in the next two months. All 23 Fargo Trailer employees likely will be retained. The new operation officially will be called Trudell Trailers of Fargo.

Vance Kemmer is operations manager for the new Fargo facility. He, along with Scott Young and Jeffrey Hilde, purchased the business in July 1996 and since that time has seen the business essentially double.

Marty Johanson, sales manager for Trudell's initial Fargo operation, will co-manage the new company with Kemmer. Young has been named parts sales coordinator and Hilde parts inventory coordinator.
