In late September 2002, the 10,000th platform trailer rolled off the assembly line, marking a milestone for Transcraft Corp's Mount Sterling KY plant.

To commemorate the achievement, production was halted at the facility, which opened in 1996, for a companywide ceremony that included a catered lunch, photos, and a presentation to the new trailer's owners, Steve Rutledge, chief executive officer, and Steve Jones, president of IKE Transportation.

The 10,000th trailer was a special edition Eagle with extra accessories, decals, and a customized bumper filler plate. IKE Transportation, owners of this trailer — their first Transcraft — will use the trailer to haul steel loads in the southeastern United States. IKE Transportation bought the trailer from Guinn's Trailer Sales of LaVergne TN.

Transcraft began producing platform trailers at its Anna IL manufacturing facility in 1962, and introduced its flagship Eagle model in 1992. In 40 years, the company has produced a combined total of more than 81,000 trailers at the Anna and Mount Sterling plants.
