Great Dane Trailers has promoted David Gilliland to vice-president of branch sales and operations. He replaces Tracey Maynor, who voluntarily resigned his position at Great Dane. Gilliland has been with the company for the past 18 years, most recently as director of sales and administration.
Benson International has named Ken Speedy director of service and repair, and he will be based at the firm's Lowmansville KY service and repair facility. Speedy spent 10 years at Mac Trailer Manufacturing as vice-president of service, as well as two years at Trailstar Manufacturing.
Heil Environmental has added three new key account managers: Eric Evans, Patrick Schneider, and Marv Banowetz. Evans is key account manager for Allied Waste. Most recently, he had been operations improvement manager at Heil's manufacturing facility in Fort Payne AL. Schneider, key account manager for Republic Services, previously was quality manager. Banowetz, key account manager for Veolia Environmental Services, most recently served as regional manager for the Midwest Region. Shannon Harrop, previously both account manager for Allied and director of product management, will focus solely on his role as director of product management. Craig Thomas has rejoined the company as Midwest regional manager. He most recently worked for the Heil Truck Equipment Group as sales manager. Thomas will work from an office near St Louis MO.
Charles Hall has joined East Manufacturing as Southeast region manager and will be responsible for customer sales and support activities in South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. He previously worked for Heavyquip, a supplier of heavy-equipment parts, as regional manager in a nine-state area.
