Stellar Industries Inc's 1280 SE aluminum tire service truck is designed and built exclusively for the new Dodge/Freight-liner Sprinter chassis.

This 12' aluminum service truck centers around an advanced use of computer-aided design and lightweight materials. It has a standard body weight of about 1,000 pounds. Maximized payload of 3,000 pounds and fuel economy at 20 mpg are quickly realized. The 43"-high × 80"-wide body is designed to hold three rows of eight standard-size truck tires. The 1280 SE substructure is based around an extruded aluminum plank floor.

Front vertical compartments of the 1280 SE measure 36" wide and are equipped with box extensions. The curbside rear vertical cabinet is equipped with one 3/8" × 50' hose reel and one 1/2" × 50' hose reel along with a filter and regulator mounted to the top of the compartment. These compartments provide more than 45 cubic feet of storage space.

Options include American Eagle drawer sets and socket racks. An available diesel drive or gas-powered air compressor is top center in the truck bed. The 1280 SE package comes with Stellar's EDL-54 hydraulic liftgate that lifts 1,300 pounds, has a grip-strut platform, and folding rail tire stop. The Sprinter chassis has a five-cylinder diesel engine and automatic transmission capable of more than 20 mpg.
