Thomas Dennis Co LLC has changed its name to DaimlerChrysler Commercial Buses North Carolina (DCCBNC) to complete the separation with joint-venture founders Thomas Built Buses and The Mayflower Corp's Dennis Co.
The company will continue to manufacture its SLF 200 low-floor and CL 100 shuttle buses at its plant in Greensboro NC. The organizational structure established in January 2002 also remains intact with DCCBNC reporting to DaimlerChrysler Commercial Buses North America (DCCBNA).
Other DCCBNA companies — Setra of North America and Orion Bus Industries — are not impacted by the name change.
