Strippit/LVD plans to establish a sales and service subsidiary in Querétaro City, Mexico. The new company will provide direct sales and service support to the Mexican market and will function as a customer contact point. This firm should be operational in first-quarter 2002.

The office will sell and service Strippit/LVD's complete product line, including CNC turret punch presses, laser systems, press brakes, shears, and CAD/CAM programming software.

Pedro Morlet, national sales manager for Mexico, will head the sales and service subsidiary. A native of Mexico, Morlet has worked for Strippit/LVD since 1997. Service engineers from Strippit/LVD's United States facility will relocate to staff the Mexican office. The firm plans to recruit and train service technicians from the Querétaro City area.
