A NEW beverage body layout designed specifically for use in the central city and high traffic congestion was shown at the IAA in Hanover by Keppler Fahrzeugbau GmbH. The main features are a central walkway for assembling orders and a sidelift for lowering the order to the ground.

Both sides of the Keppler CityVerteiler (city distributor) open up for loading pallets of beverages by fork truck. The swing-wall is divided into three parts. The lower part hinges down, while the upper two parts fold together and then hinge up onto the roof.

At the delivery stop, the driver enters the central walkway through steps at the rear. The picked product can be assembled on the sidelift platform, which extends into the body to the body midpoint. The interior compartments are set up for Euro-pallets, but are adjustable to fit other pallet and case sizes. Keppler GmbH Fahrzeugbau, Industriestrasse 5, D-77767 Appenweier, Germany.
