New insulating foam and the new floor construction have enhanced the thermal properties of Schmitz Cargobull refrigerated trailers.

Ferroplast ThermoTechnology is the brand name for vapor diffusion-tight isolation panels — a sandwich panel consisting of foam core and metal skins. In addition to its thermal qualities, FERROPLAST can be equipped with HDR (Highly Dent Resistance) technology for extreme dent resistance.

The new foaming procedure is being used on the Schmitz S.KO COOL refrigerated trailer. Schmitz has further enhanced its reefer with a redesigned rear door frame to make the trailer more impact resistant. The changes include new bumper, stronger steel frame that does a better job of managing the stress generated by rear impacts.
