Schmitz Cargobull AG is increasing prices for its semitrailer products and services by 2.8%. This is due to higher prices particularly for energy-intensive materials and parts—such as aluminum, plastics, and tires—and higher wage and nonwage labor costs. For more than four years, the German-based company has been able to keep prices stable, but now, despite optimization and rationalization of production and procurement processes, these prices no longer can be held.
