Retail truck sales up 9% in February

Franchised dealers of U.S. truck manufacturers sold 721,449 units in February 2004 -- 9.6% above sales for the month a year ago, giving a year-to-date increase of 12.6%, according to data published by Ward's Communications.

All classes were up for February, with the biggest increase coming in Class 8 (48.1%, from 8,124 to 12,035).
