Reinke, a manufacturer of over-the-road trailer and intermodal chassis equipment and mechanized agricultural irrigation systems, has signed a contract with Transamerica Leasing of Purchase, NY, to continuing their partnership. Reinke is selling 200 new Lightweight Millennium Tank Chassis to Transamerica Leasing, which will lease the equipment to the Union Pacific Railroad to replace its existing Reinke tank chassis fleet. "We sincerely appreciate Union Pacific's decision to continue using Reinke chassis," said Bob Friehe, Reinke president. "It is a pleasure to do business with another Nebraska-based company, and we look forward to serving the Union Pacific Railroad's needs for many years to come. "Equally important to Reinke is the relationship that we have built over the years with Transamerica Leasing," added Friehe. "We sincerely appreciate their desire to provide their lease customers with the very best tank chassis available in the world today." Previously, Union Pacific Railroad used an older model of Reinke's tank chassis. The company will continue to use Reinke chassis throughout the United States and Mexico to carry tanks over the road after rail transportation. Reinke chassis equipment and trailers are known for their lightweight, but strong and durable design with a variety of options. The chassis options include the 40-foot Container Chassis and the Millennium Tank Chassis. Trailer designs include all-aluminum, combo (aluminum with steel rails), drop deck combo (features special strong beams to eliminate stress points) and other specialty trailers.
