Deschler NE-based Reinke, manufacturer of over-the-road trailer and intermodal chassis equipment and mechanized agricultural irrigation systems, has signed a contract to continue its partnership with Transamerica Leasing of Purchase NY.

Reinke is selling 200 new lightweight Millennium tank chassis to Transamerica Leasing, who will lease the equipment to the Union Pacific Railroad to replace its existing Reinke tank chassis fleet.

Previously, Union Pacific Railroad used an older model of Reinke's tank chassis. The company will continue to use Reinke chassis throughout the United States and Mexico to carry tanks over the road after rail transportation.

Union Pacific Railroad, an operating subsidiary of Union Pacific Corp in Omaha NE, operates in the western two-thirds of the United States. Transamerica Leasing is a lessor of intermodal transportation equipment including standard containers and refrigerated containers.
