Using its newly purchased chassis pool, Regal Logistics is ready to meet the demand for right-off/right-on container service at Pacific Northwest piers including the Ports of Tacoma and Seattle WA. Steamship lines are eliminating chassis provision at ports to cut costs; this is affecting operations on the West Coast and rapidly spreading to the East Coast.
Regal purchased state-of-the-art container chassis from Hyundai Translead. The new pool is maintained and operated out of the third-party logistics provider's Pacific Northwest location as part of its Regal Trucking Drayage service.
Regal anticipates rolling out its chassis pool service to its East Coast location at the Port of Charleston SC soon.
