READING Body Works held a mystery dinner for its distributors. But there was no mystery as to which distributors did the deed during 2000.
The Reading, Pennsylvania, service body manufacturer paid tribute to its top distributors during a dinner March 1 in Baltimore, honoring sales achievement and years of service.
The top performing Reading distributor for 2000 was Crest Truck Equipment, Bowmansville PA. Following Crest of Bowmansville were Baltimore & Washington Truck Equipment; Crest Truck Equipment of Abington PA; Manning Light Truck Equipment; Smyrna Truck Body & Equipment; Fort Wayne Fleet Equipment; Special Fleet Service; and Auto Truck Inc.
Brake & Clutch and Crest Truck Equipment received awards for selling Reading's Aerotech service body.
Reading also recognized distributors for years of service. Among those receiving awards were:
Ten years: Jersey Truck Equipment Company; Sabre Equipment; Smyrna Truck Body & Equipment; Steelfab Division; T-W Truck Equippers.
Other longevity awards included: Rowland Equipment, 20 years; Pafco Truck Bodies and Scientific Brake & Equipment, 25 years; Crest Truck Equipment, 30 years; and Statler Body Works, 45 years.
