Ramsey Winch, a subsidiary and major brand of Ramsey Industries, has introduced the HDG-350 heavy-duty worm gear winch.
This winch has a rated first layer line pull of 10,000 lbs. It meets the SAE J706 standard and is manufactured in the Ramsey Winch facility in Tulsa OK.
“The important thing being introduced with this winch is that the line speed of this worm gear design matches the line speed of a similar-capacity planetary winch. Now the vehicle operator can choose the winch design — either worm or planetary — and achieve the same operating capacity and speed,” said Phil Halt, marketing product manager for Ramsey Winch.
Other features of the HDG-350 winch include:
- Line speed (at 15 gpm) 32 fpm first layer
- Available with blocked clutch
- Available with air shift
- Automatic, oil-cooled disc brake
- High-efficiency worm gear set
- Mid-mounted
- Manual or air-operated free spool
- Internal air-shift free spool.
